Lansing Community College: LCC Leading Conversation At National DEI Event

LANSING, Mich. - Join LCC’s Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Tonya Bailey as she leads panelists from
around the country for “From Intention to Action: A National Conversation on Diversity
Equity and Inclusion.” The virtual event will be held 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8 via
Webex. All are invited.

The conversation will take a deep dive into actionable strategies to help move the
needle on DEI and accessibility at institutions of higher education. Explore topics
like:

  • What is diversity, really, and why does it matter?
  • What are some mistakes to avoid when implementing programs and changes at your campus?
  • How have institutions been able to make changes and implement action plans collegewide?
  • While the conversation will center on higher education, information will be valuable
    for all those working to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in their respective
    organizations.
