Man Killed In Dump Truck Crash On U.S. 23 In Southeast MI: Police

Police said the driver lost control of the truck when it blew a tire and crashed into a tree.

NORTHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A man was killed in a dump truck crash on Monday in Washtenaw County, according to Michigan State Police.

The crash happened at 6:45 p.m. Monday on southbound US-23 near North Territorial Road in Northfield Township, according to police.

Police said the 47-year-old Flint man lost control of a blue 1994 Western Star dump truck when it blew a tire. The truck then veered off the road and crashed into a tree near Whitmore Lake, according to police.
