WHAT IS A RUCK? A “RUCK” is a term used in the military for a long-distance hike while carrying equipment in a Ruck Sack. The RUCK consists of carrying a weight physically in a backpack. This is intended to be a reminder of the burden these individuals carried. For example, carrying 22lbs to symbolize the 22 a day veteran suicide rate.
There is no set distance in this March, the event is scheduled to start at 10am and conclude at 2pm. You may march as much or as little as you wish. NOTE: This is not a strength and endurance event, it is an AWARENESS and REMEBERANCE event focusing on Mental Health issues and Suicide Prevention.
