• Peer tutors pay forward their academic success (schoolnewsnetwork.org) — Cedar Springs Middle School eighth-graders are using their free “Hawk Time” to tutor sixth- and seventh-graders, building a new peer-to-peer support program on campus. Led by student coordinator Bralynn Chapman and teacher Shaye Rogers, the group meets three times a week to help classmates with academics and confidence, with plans to expand participation over time. 
• Cedar Springs woman spreads cheer with impressive year-round Christmas village (wzzm13.com) — A Cedar Springs resident has turned her basement into “Frosty Falls,” a sprawling year-round Christmas village that’s earned her more than 21,000 TikTok followers. Jen Miller’s 145-building display, built largely from second-hand finds, has become her full-time creative focus and a calming escape she shares daily with viewers online.
