Paige Bohne sentenced in her daughter's death, boyfriend set for trial (sturgisjournal.com) — In a Centreville courtroom, a Sturgis woman received a lengthy prison sentence for the death of her 2-year-old daughter, while her boyfriend awaits a February trial on related charges. Prosecutors detailed disturbing circumstances surrounding the child’s death and said the mother will not be eligible for parole until 2044. The case continues to move through St. Joseph County courts.
   

4. Vicksburg man sentenced for crash that killed 10-year-old (woodtv.com) — Centreville residents should know that a Vicksburg man has been sentenced to at least seven and a half years in prison after a crash that killed a 10-year-old in nearby Sherman Township. The driver, who had a suspended license and prior OWI convictions, pleaded guilty to operating under the influence causing death and was sentenced as a habitual offender.
