Dominoes Game Turns Violent in Chelsea

While on routine patrol just before midnight on April 15, police officers responded to the 300 block of Madison Street for the report of an assault & battery that had occurred at approximately 11 p.m.
A man told police that a group of people were sitting around playing dominoes that night. Later on in the evening, the man said that the suspect, a 26-year-old Chelsea man, became upset and began repeatedly punching him in the face, according to the police report.
The man said that after being assaulted he fled the residence and returned to his house where he called the police.

The case remains open pending warrant authorization review by the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.
