
The Clawson High varsity baseball team came up winners of the second tournament held Saturday at Clawson City Park, said coach Ralph Haney.
Jake Smith went the first six innings to get his eighth win of the season, totaling six strikeouts in the 13-5 win over New Haven.Â
Clawson took the second game against a very good Westland Lutheran team that was 18-1 coming in to face the Trojans, by a score of 8-0. Dave Harlukowicz went seven innings, throwing three strikeouts in the shutout win. Harlukowicz helped his own cause at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBI. At the plate, Matt Pike was 3-for-4 with two RBI.

On Monday night, Clawson topped Madison in three innings. Cam Campana struck out eight and only allowed one hit from the mound, furthering his cause with a 2-for-3 day at the plate. Clawson travels to Hamtramck on Tuesday.
Clawson's record stands now at 14-7.
