Why go: This Saturday is the the 6th Annual Claws and Paws, a 2-mile walk for homeless animals. You can run, jog or walk with your best furry friend. Afterward there will be vendors, pet adoptions, games and prizes. The public is invited to come out and cheer the dogs on.

Why go: Guardian Angels is having a special Anniversary Mass to celebrate married couples who have recently celebrated 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50 or more years of marriage.
5. Berkley Days
Where/when: Thursday-Sunday; , 2300 Robina Ave. and Berkley Community Center, 2400 Robina Ave.
Why go: There will be a used book sale, craft show, food booths, beer tent and more. Fun for the whole family all weekend.
