Photo: Downtown Store Yarn Bombed

When store owner Paula Kelley arrived at today, she was greeted with a surprise. The outside of her store had been "yarn bombed." 

A local knit group, named the Cast-Offs, had wrapped a knitting of fall leaves and branches around a flag pole that sits in front of the store. Knitter Linda Elliott described "yarn bombing" as graffiti with yarn and said it's done all over the world, usually by surprise. She said this was their first time "yarn bombing" at PK Yarn Over Knit. 

"I was shocked," Kelley said. 

PK Yarn Over Knit is located at 32 S. Main St. right next to American Flag & Banner.
