Resident Reports Gas Siphoned From Car

Woman says her vehicle's fuel level was low in three days, after spending $110 on gasoline and driving few miles.

A Clawson woman said she believes someone siphoned gas from her blue Chevy van between May 8 and May 11 while it was parked outside of her home. The resident, who lives on the 700 block of Coolidge Avenue, said she spent $110 filling her tank up on May 8 and discovered her fuel level was low when she checked it the night of May 11, police say.

A police report indicates that the woman only drives a few miles between home and work each day and said she is certain she didn't burn a full tank of gas in three days.

The victim also said her gas cap was loose when she checked it on May 11. There are no suspects in the reported theft.
