Three Larcenies Reported in Clawson

Garage, construction site, credit union hit.

Power washer, sledge hammer stolen

A Clawson woman reported a power washer and sledge hammer were stolen from her deceased mother's garage on the 700 block of South Gargantua sometime between  Feb. 1 and March 31. A police report said the garage at the home does not have a lock and can be opened with little effort. The power washer is valued at $200 and the sledge hammer, which has a three-foot wood handle, is valued at less than $50. There are no suspects.

Cement mixer stolen from site

The owner of a construction site on the 200 block of East 14 Mile reported that his cement mixer was taken from the site between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. A police report says builders arrived on site Tuesday and discovered the mixer missing. The owner said the mixer, which he purchased for $850, is heavy and it would have taken at least two people to move. A new mixer would cost  $2,400-$2,800, the report said. There are no suspects.

Donation jar money taken from credit union

Money was taken from  a Robotics Team donation jar at the around 11 a.m. March 1. A credit union employee said they found the empty jar in the parking lot of the credit union on March 24. Police and credit union employees have reviewed bank surveillance tapes but have not made any arrests.
