Clinton Township resident Mary Solomon has been named director of the Macomb County Community Services Agency (MCCSA). Her official duties began in July.
“Mary will provide leadership and strategic direction to several departments that provide essential services to County residents,” said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, in a prepared statement. “Given her extensive work with MCCSA, Mary is a natural choice for this position.”
Solomon, a 30-year resident of Clinton Township, has a long history with MCCSA – including 10 years as the agency’s assistant director. Her career in human services began in 1992, when she was a case manager for the Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board, Inc. Solomon came to MCCSA in 1997, serving as a planner/coordinator until her promotion in 2002 to the assistant director position. She has been MCCSA’s acting director since January of this year.
