Clinton Township Girl Arraigned In Mother's Death
The 17-year-old Clinton Township girl is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of her mother.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β A 17-year-old Clinton Township girl was arraigned as an adult and charged with first-degree murder in the death of her mother. Delia Sherwood Evans is accused of the stabbing death of her wheelchair-bound mother, 45-year-old Sonia Riang, on Christmas.
A family member discovered the victim lying on the bedroom floor of her Washington Place apartment the evening of Dec. 25. Evans was apprehended by police in Fraser on Dec. 26.
Evans attended the arraignment at 41B District Court via videoconference from the Macomb County Jail. A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of Evans and she was denied bond, CBS reports.
