KSJ Marketing Communications offers consulting, graphic design, marketing and more.

Many businesses need marketing help, but can afford to hire someone full time.

That's whereΒ Kym Johnson can help.

"I wanted to give this type of business owner quality services at a much lower rate than using an agency or consultant," she said.

I offer marketing consulting and administration, graphic design, web design, social media marketing/training, and email marketing.

What's your most popular product or service?Β

I recently started a managed marketing services program. This allows a small business owner to have quality marketing services performed for a set number of hours (usually anywhere from 10 to 40 hours a month). This covers many tasks such as creating marketing collateral pieces, website maintenance, database maintenance, presentation materials, etc. The cost is lower than having to hire someone full or part time. Work is performed out of my office.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

I'm an accredited solution provider with Constant Contact. This is a new program started by Constant Contact in the Fall of 2012. I'm one of the few such Solution Providers in the area. I can help get your email marketing off the ground to reach your customers on a regular basis. I can also offer training for current Constant Contact customers.

When was the business founded?

November 2004

How did your business come to be?Β

The company I worked at for 18 years closed down in 2003. After a year of no job offers I decided to do some freelance work to pay the bills. I kept the company more freelance when I went back to school in 2005 and earned two degrees (Web Design and then Graphic Design). It's been full time for me since graduation in 2010.

Why did you choose the area you did?

I worked for a very small family owned business. Many of the customers were small businesses also. They could not afford to bring on a full time marketing person so the owner was left to handle this task themselves or assign it to an employee that didn't have the skills in this area. I wanted to give this type of business owner quality services at a much lower rate than using an agency or consultant.
