Crime Report: Possible Serial Flasher Near 17 Mile; Dodge Stolen at Partridge Creek

Possible serial flasher reported on Sarjay

On Aug. 17, at approximately 9:16 p.m., a resident in the 16000 block of Sarjay reported to police that a man had exposed himself outside her home.

The resident told police she heard a knock on her door and when she looked out a man was standing with his T-shirt pulled up over his head and his pants down, according to the police report.

There have been no arrests in this case, but police said they believe this individual may be the same as reported in other cases in the area.

Dodge Intrepid stolen from Patridge Creek parking lot

On Aug. 18, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an employee in The Mall at Partridge Creek reported her 2004 Dodge Intrepid had been stolen from the parking lot.

Mall surveillance tapes show a black vehicle pulling alongside the stolen car and 10 minutes later, both vehicles pulling out of the lot.

There are no suspects at this time.

Woman attempts to shoplift baby food

On Aug. 18, at approximately 8:46 p.m., employees of the Walmart at 18400 Hall Road reported a woman had stolen several jars of baby food by concealing them in her clothes.  

The woman is described as being a white female of medium build in her mid 20s. Walmart employees say they saw the woman put baby food in her clothes before going to check out. While the woman paid for other items, she attempted to leave the store without paying for the baby food. Employees confronted the woman outside the store and attempted to detain her, according to the police report.

The woman ran from the store, leaving her purchased items behind. She was seen driving toward Romeo Plank in a Chrysler vehicle.

There have been no arrests in this case.

Teen caught shoplifting 12 cans of baby formula

On Aug. 22, at approximately 2:23 p.m., police arrested a 19-year-old man in the parking lot of the Kroger at 37187 Groesbeck.

A patrolling officer saw the man run from the store with a large white bag in his hand and take off in a waiting vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the man admitted to stealing 12 cans of baby formula, a $179 cost, according to the police report.

The man was arrested for retail fraud in the second degree. He was previously arrested for larceny in Lapeer County and another retail charge in Macomb.
