Deputies Bust Suspect After Shots Fired
A Macomb County man was arrested for allegedly firing a gun.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A 30-year-old Macomb County man has been charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder in connection with a Wednesday incident. Brian Harsen of Harrison Township was arraigned on the charge and one count of discharging a firearm in a building at 41-B District Court in Clinton Township Friday.
Macomb County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 37000 block of Jefferson Avenue to assist with a medical dispatch. A caller told police that his partner was “freaking out” and had a gun, which had since been taken away from him, reports said. The caller gave the gun, a .38 caliber Ruger semi-automatic, to deputies when they arrived.
Moments later, deputies found Harsen lying on the floor. Police reports described him as being disorientated and unable to follow deputy commands. He was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Harsen was later released and taken to the Macomb County jail.
