Explosive Device Discovered By Clinton Township Couple
The device was discovered in a garage.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Clinton Township couple got a scare Monday after finding an explosive device. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said the couple was cleaning out the garage of the 56-year-old woman’s recently passed away father in Roseville when they found the device.
The couple took the explosive device to the sheriff’s office at about 7:25 p.m. Monday. Deputies called in the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad and the device was properly disposed. No injuries were reported.
Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said such devices should not be moved. He advised that anyone coming into contact with any type of explosive materials or devices should call 911. Wickersham added that people should, in fact, get as far away from the explosive device as possible prior to calling authorities.
