Fire Destroys Wiseguys Bar & Grill
A popular Clinton Township establishment for more than a decade, the fire started at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β Wiseguys Bar & Grill, a popular Clinton Township establishment for more than a decade, was completely destroyed by fire early Sunday morning. Located on Garfield Road between Canal and 19 Mile Road, firefighters from agencies helped put the fire out, which is believed to have started at about 5:30 a.m., according to a Macomb Daily report.
βGarfield is our baby,β Laura Wise said Sunday afternoon, fighting back tears. She co-owns Wiseguys with her husband, Jim, as well as a second location on Harper Avenue. βOur kids work there. Our employees often come to our house. We truly are one big family.β
βClinton Township Fire Deputy Chief Randy Kandt said inspectors donβt know what caused the fire, but added foul play is not suspected. He said one firefighter reported a minor injury, but did not seek medical treatment.β
