Across Metro Detroit, the number of residential homes and condos listed for sale dropped 15 percent, while Macomb County posted a 4.1 percent increase in the number of homes sold, according to September realcomp.com data.
The number of foreclosures on the market dropped by about 3 percent while the number of non-foreclosure sales increased about 8 percent, realcomp reports, with the average non-foreclosure home in Macomb County selling for $100,000 compared to $91,965 this time last year.
Tax-forfeited properties for sale by township
Clinton Township announced this week that it will attempt to sell 25 of the 71 tax-forfeited properties it acquired this year, as well as several vacant lots it has been unable to sell in the past.
