Kensington Church Breaks Ground In Clinton Township on Hall Road.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — One of metropolitan Detroit’s largest churches is expanding. Kensington Church broke ground on a permanent location in Clinton Township on Thursday. The new facility, which will be on Hall Road between Gratiot Avenue and I-94, is expected to open in about a year.
The nondenominational church currently holds services at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center. It will be Kensington’s fourth permanent location, which includes Troy, Orion and Traverse City. According to the church’s website, it also has campuses in Clarkston, Shelby Township, Birmingham and Orlando, Fla.
