Macomb County Man Survives Gunshot Wound To Head

The man was shot in a dispute over money, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Department.

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting in Mount Clemens Monday afternoon that left one man shot in the head. According to authorities, police arrived to the area of Gibbs Street at Dickinson Avenue around 4 p.m. after multiple shots had been reported fired. Officers found one victim, a 21-year-old old man from Eastpointe, shot in the head. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police found during their investigation that the shots were fired over money. The victim and several others reportedly arrived to the area to collect a debt when a dispute ensued. Police said several people were brought in for questioning, but there are still no suspects at this time.

According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, many individuals have been uncooperative in the investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Wohfield at 586-463-1854.
