Melitz Confirmed As Clinton Township's Deputy Treasurer
A Clinton Township resident will become the township's deputy treasurer.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Clinton Township resident will become the township’s deputy treasurer. Bethany Melitz, a former project manager with the city of Detroit, will start her duties on July 3. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Bethany is the daughter-in-law Cynthia Melitz, who is retiring from the same position.
In a letter to the township board, Treasurer Paul Gieleghem said Melitz’s work and education background provides the town with a “well-rounded and analytical leader equipped with the tools to help manage the day-to-day operations” of the treasurer’s office.
“In the end, she was the clear choice,” Gieleghem said.
