Pipe Collapse Closes North River Road
A portion of North River Road in Macomb County is closed.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — North River Road east of I-94 has been closed because of the collapse of a 48-inch metal metal drainage pipe, according to Macomb County Department of Roads. Portions of the North River Road shoulder and asphalt road surface have failed as a result.
Steel plates have been put in place to shore up these portions of the roadway, county officials said. Contractors are on the scene working on the road, which sits in Harrison Township. County officials, who are asking drivers to take alternative routes if possible, are unsure of when the road will be reopened.
