Power Restored to Most Clinton Township Residents

Nearly 1,600 DTE customers in Clinton Township were among the 130,000 impacted around Metro Detroit by Friday's storms.

Power returned Sunday afternoon for more than 1,000 DTE customers affected by Friday's in Clinton Township. 

Remaining outages were isolated and involved only a small number of homes as of 6 p.m., according to the DTE outage map. Roughly 1,600 were without power Sunday morning. They were among the 145,000 customers in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties that experienced outages due to the severe thunderstorms that rolled across southeast Michigan Friday afternoon. 

Roughly 24,000 customers in the Metro Detroit area were still without service, officials said.
