These are some fun weekend activities that you can enjoy with your children whether it be a beautiful Saturday morning or a dreary Sunday afternoon.

For the next three weekends, Thomas the Train will be at Greenfield Village in Dearborn offering rides and activities that your children will never forget.
Kids will be able to meet Sir Topham Hatt, watch a magic show and enjoy live music and storytelling.

Train departures will start at 9:30 a.m. and the last ride will be at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $37.75 for adults, $31.25 for ages 5-12 and $11.75 for children 1-4.
Greenfield Village is located at 20900 Oakwood Blvd.
Sheep Shearing and Pancake Breakfast on Saturday
Have you or your children ever seen a sheep get a haircut? Well now is your chance.
Hess-Hathaway Park is hosting a “Sheep Shearing” which is a lot more fun to watch then it sounds.
In addition to the sheep-shedding, a pancake breakfast will be served hot off the griddle with the option of chocolate chips or fruit.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the historic farmhouse and feed the animals.
The event is from 9 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $3 for ages 10 and younger and $5 for ages 11 and older.
The park is located at 825 S. Williams Lake Road in Waterford.
Peter Cottontail at the Northville Marquis Theatre
Join Peter on his quest for the ultimate carrot and the courage to be himself.
The live performance is great for children ages 3 and up to see their favorite bunny.
Tickets are $9 and showtimes are at 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through May 8.
The Theatre is located at 135 E. Main St. in Northville.
Seussical the Musical at The Players Guild of Dearborn
The Players Guild of Dearborn present a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza!
Bring the kids out to see their favorite characters like Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and more.
The characters go on a colorful journey through the worlds of the Dr. Seuss fables.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. The showtimes are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays through May 22.
The theatre is located at 21730 Madison St.
Green Space Discover Hike
Enjoy a one-hour guided nature walk on Saturday with I-Spy challenges, nature observations, maps and freebies at Riverbend Park.
Take time to stop at the various information stations where volunteers will tell you about plants, animals, ecology and history of the properties.
The hike is free and will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. and noon.
The park is located at 2800 W. Hamlin Road in Rochester Hills.
