DEARBORN, MI — The New York Times named Al Tayeb Restaurant in Dearborn as one of its 50 best restaurants in the country.

The Lebanese diner at 15010 Warren Ave in Dearborn specializes in serving a Lebanese-Style breakfast with many different versions of Levantine staples like fatteh, foul mudammas, balila, batata harra, falafel and hummus.

Samer Hamade and his father, Ali initially opened their restaurant as a sub shop in the summer of 2017 in Garden City. But after seeing the success of its weekends-only Lebanese-style breakfast, it became a full-time Lebanese breakfast joint in the fall of 2017, operating from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
