Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church To Host Concert Series In Dearborn
Church's music director and organist highlights concert series

DEARBORN, Mich — Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn is hosting a number of concerts this year as part of its “Music at Cherry Hill” series. On March 12, the public is invited to attend a special concert by Meghan Meloy Ness, the church’s director of music and organist.
Ness, who leads the church’s Chancel and Bell choirs, is currently a Master’s student in sacred music at the University of Michigan. Originally from Swarthmore, Penn., Ness received her undergraduate degrees from Oberlin College in music education and environmental studies. She has studied organ with Michigan’s highly acclaimed concert organists James Kibbie, Kola Owolabi and Deborah Friauff.
Ness will perform a selection of organ music from her Master’s recital, that includes works by Max Reger, Ned Rorem and Maurice Durufle.

“Meghan became Cherry Hill’s music director in 2014, only months before I arrived,” said Cherry Hill Presbyterian Rev. Mark Phillips. “It is a pleasure to work with such a gifted musician, colleague, and friend. When Meghan plays, there are no words to adequately describe how amazing she is. And, that’s how our members and visitors feel each week during worship. Meghan has been described as ‘one of the best’ by one of her colleagues and I totally agree.”
A free-will offering will be received during the performance. Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church is located at 24100 Cherry Hill, at the northwest intersection with Telegraph Road in Dearborn.
