Dearborn Announces Homecoming Headliner
We'll give you a hint: If you're into the Bee Gees, you're in luck.

DEARBORN, MI β Dearbornβs annual Homecoming at Ford Field Park is just a couple short months away and the main act has just been announced: The Australian Bee Gees Show - A Tribute To The Bee Bees will headline the festival that draws in 150,000 people from across the region.
Homecoming will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4 with the Saturday Night Fever disco magic playing on the main stage. Thirty of the best Bee Gees songs, dynamic visuals and audience participation will keep the fever lively for the 90-minute family-friendly concert.
βIn my opinion they are the best Bee Gees tribute in the world,β according to Terri Bridge, the president of the Bee Gees Official Fan Club USA.

The Bee Gees wrote over 1,000 songs, sold more than 220 million records worldwide, won 12 Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their music became the soundtrack for lives across the globe as brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb pumped out hit after hit.
They had seven number one songs and wrote more than a dozen Billboard sensations for other artists. Their music filled airwaves and concert halls. The acclaimed group is known for their tight three-part high harmonies and disco.

Classics include βHow Deep is Your Love,β βJive Talkinβ,β βHow Can You Mend a Broken Heart,β βNight Fever,β βYou Should Be Dancing,β βToo Much Heaven,β βI Started a Joke,β βIβve Gotta Get a Message To You,β and βStayinβ Alive.β
Performing together continuously since 1996 with more than 6,000 performances in over 50 countries, the acclaimed tribute group has also had its own PBS Television Special and performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra.
Fans looking forward to the music of one of the best-selling groups of all time are encouraged to arrive early for the Australian Bee Gees Show - A Tribute to The Bee Gees. The 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 concert is free, as is admission to Homecoming. A fireworks display follows the show at 10 p.m.
Now in its 39th year, the festival runs August 3-5 at Ford Field Park, 500 Monroe St., Dearborn. Festival attendees enjoy delicious food, carnival rides, free family activities including games and contests, high school reunions, and top-tier entertainment. The popular event also includes more than 20 Dearborn-based nonprofit groups raising money for good causes that support the community.
