Dearborn Crestwood Earns Silver Medal Ranking

U.S. News and World Report rated Dearborn Crestwood as Michigan's 25th best high school.

DEARBORN, MI — Crestwood High in Dearborn is the 25th best high school in Michigan, according to U.S. News and World Report. Overall, the school ranked as the 1,078th best high school in the country. Dearborn High ranked 74th in Michigan, Star International Academy 80th, Fordson 92nd and Edsel Ford 122nd.

U.S. News and World Report has crunched the numbers for 2017, releasing its annual list of best high schools in the country. In Michigan, Wellspring Preparatory High School in Grand Rapids earned the title of the best high school in the state. Overall, the school ranked 211th in the country. Arbor Preparatory in Ypsilanti ranked as the second best in Michigan, followed by Black River Public High School in in Holland.

Six Michigan high schools were given gold medals by U.S. News, 77 received silver and 52 received bronze medals. The 2017 rankings of best high schools identify the top-performing public schools at both the national and the state level and include date on more than 20,000 high schools.
