Dearborn Declares Snow Emergency: What To Know

Here are the citywide enforcements in place to brace the weekend winter storm.

DEARBORN, MI — The city of Dearborn has declared a snow emergency effective 9 p.m. Friday until further notice, city officials announced.

This means that as of 9 p.m. Friday, all parked vehicles must be removed from Dearborn streets to allow for safe and efficient snowplowing Parked vehicles will be ticketed and the fines are $80, according to the city.

Outdoor warning sirens will sound at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Saturdato announce the snow emergency.

City officials say the timely declaration of the snow emergency is for the convenience of Dearborn residents, to allow residents to remove their parked vehicles well in advance of plowing and ticketing operations.
