Dearborn Heights HS Principal Suspended Again Pending Investigation

The principal was suspended again while a "highly sensitive" investigation plays out, Board president Latanya Gate told Patch.

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI β€” A beloved Dearborn Heights high school principal was placed on paid administrative leave again while a "highly sensitive" investigation plays out, Board president Latanya Gater told Patch.

Annapolis High School Principal Aaron Mollett was originally suspended without explanation in early May, but was then reinstated during a rowdy May 17 board meeting.

Gater said a decision to suspend Mollett again at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year was made during that May 17 board meeting.

Regarding the suspension, Gater said the board does not share details of personnel matters.

"This is highly sensitive and any further information will be shared once the investigation is complete," School Board President Latanya Gater said. "Board members ask for the patience of our school district's families as we work to conclude the investigation."
