According to organizers, the Financial Reality Fair is an interactive experience in which students research and identify their career choice and starting salaries then complete a
budget sheet requiring them to live within their monthly paycheck.

Teens will move between different stations to select housing, transportation, clothing, food and even lifestyle items like gym memberships and cell phone plans.

The fair will give students a view into real life budgeting while illustrating the impact of
their choices on their lifestyle. Students end the experience at the financial counseling station to ensure they stayed within their budgets and to review their savings goals and what they accomplished during the fair.

The event is provided by Catholic Vantage Financial Federal Credit Union in collaboration with MemberFocus, Parkside and Michigan Legacy credit unions.
