Dearborn Man Charged In Attempted Home Invasion
A 27-year-old Dearborn man has been charged with attempted home invasion.

DEARBORN, MI — A 27-year-old Dearborn man has been charged with attempted home invasion stemming from a May 3 incident in the 6400 block of Appoline Street. Casim TAHA was arraigned at 34th District Court in Dearborn and is currently awaiting a preliminary examination scheduled for May 26. A $25,000/10 percent cash bond was set for TAHA.
Dearborn Police officers were called to the home at about 12 a.m. The homeowner told police he observed a man removing the screen to a rear window. The suspect fled when he saw the homeowner, reports said.
Dearborn officers saturated the area after speaking with the homeowner. After investigating, police arrested TAHA.

“The quick action by officers resulted in the arrest of a subject wanted for an attempted break in,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. “I commend these officers for their dedication to protecting our citizens and businesses alike.”
