Dearborn Needs Poll Workers Election Day

Residents can make $130 helping with the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Here's how.

DEARBORN, MI β€” The Dearborn City Clerk is looking for poll workers for the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The position pays $130 for the day and an additional $20 for attending the pre-election instruction class in the week preceding the election. There will be morning, afternoon and evening class options offered.

Candidates should be at least 18 years of age, registered voters in Michigan and have basic computer skills. Students who are 16 or 17 years old may also apply, city officials said.

The hours of work are from 6:15 a.m. until about 9 p.m. on Election Day. Duties of the job include helping with the set-up of election equipment, processing voters, offering instructions, saving reports on the computer and assisting with closing the polls.

Interested parties are encouraged to apply as soon as possible at the City Clerk’s Office in the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave.
