UPDATE: Dearborn High's Sascha Meyers Earns All-State Honors
Sascha and Nathalie Meyers both post top-16 times to advance at Division 1 state championship.

sophomore Sascha Meyers earned all-state honors in two events at the Division 1 swimming and diving state finals on Saturday at Eastern Michigan University.
Meyers placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute and 53.51 seconds, and she finished eighth in the 100 free with a time of 53.02 seconds.
The top-eight finishers in each event earn all-state honors.

Dearborn freshman Nathalie Meyers ended up 12th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.48 seconds.

Sascha, a sophomore, was fourth in the preliminaries in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute, 52.49 seconds. She shaved almost five seconds off the time she posted when she won the event at the .
Sascha also recorded a personal-best time of 52.69 seconds in the 100 freestyle to place seventh in the prelims.
She will compete in Saturday’s finals in the top eight in both events.
Nathalie, a freshman, ended up 11th in the prelims of the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.85 seconds. She also will compete in Saturday’s finals of the 100 back.
Chloe Palajac finished 17th in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:11.87, and Palajac was 20th in the 500 free with a time of 5:15.02.
Dearborn’s 400 freestyle relay team of Palajac, Nathalie Meyers, Hannah Robar and Sascha Meyers was 19th with a time of 3:41.40.
Dearborn’s 200 medley relay team was disqualified.
