Flight-Themed Fun at Henry Ford, City Meetings and More This Week

Here are five things to keep an eye out for as you go about your week in Dearborn.

Macy's 2nd Monday at The Henry Ford:
-Preschoolers rule during Macy’s 2nd Mondays at The Henry Ford. This month, children will enjoy a flight-themed scavenger hunt, build a balsa wood airplane, and color historic plane images from the collections of The Henry Ford. There will also be storytelling.

The event, free with admission, is held at The Henry Ford museum on the second Monday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Each event has a different theme.

School Board Meets Monday:
-The Dearborn Board of Education will meet on Monday, Jan. 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the board room of the Administrative Service Center.

HFCC Winter Classes Begin:
-Winter classes at Henry Ford Community College begin Monday, Jan. 13. The last day for HFCC students to add or register a class will be Jan. 19.

City Council Meets Tuesday:
-The Dearborn City Council will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Craft Day at the Dearborn Library:
-Make a colorful peace sign at the Henry Ford Centennial Library in remembrance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children of all ages can participate.
