DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI — A landlord shot his tenant inside a Dearborn Heights home Friday morning, according to multiple news reports.

Police said the landlord was serving an eviction notice at the home, located on Arnold Street near Ann Arbor Trail and Beech Daley, where an argument began between the landlord and several men inside the house, according to news reports.

There were four people inside the home: a man in his 70s, his wife, and their two sons in their 30s, according to news reports.

The landlord then grabbed a gun from his car and a struggle ensued and the landlord ultimately shot the elderly man in the leg, according to news reports.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was recovering and expected to be ok, according to news reports.
