League of Arab States U.S. Ambassador to Speak in Dearborn
Dr. Mohammed Raja Abdullah Al-Hussaini Al Sharif will discuss topics on Islam at a presentation at Henry Ford Community College on Monday.

Henry Ford Community College will host Mohammed Raja Abdullah Al-Hussaini Al Sharif, the ambassador of the League of Arab States to the United States, as he presents “The Role of the League of Arab States in the Arab Spring Countries and U.S. Policies in the Aftermath of the Arab Spring.”
This special presentation takes place Monday at 9:08 a.m. in the Rosenau Room of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services and Conference Center, located on the HFCC campus.

Al Sharif has been a Saudi diplomat for more than 35 years. Before his current post, he served as ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Turkey and Canada; consul in Houston, Texas; head of mission to Mali; and represented his country as deputy head of Saudi Diplomatic Missions in Venezuela, the United Kingdom and the Philippines.
He has also represented Saudi Arabia in various conferences and forums, as well as headed Saudi delegations to regional and international conferences.

During his diplomatic career abroad, Al Sharif wrote many articles, and has lectured at universities and institutes worldwide on a variety of topics: Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy, the Middle East peace process, Islam and the clash of civilizations, and the role of Islam in combating terrorism.
Monday's presentation is free and open to the public.
