Maintenance At The Center; Pools Now Closed In Dearborn
Services are limited at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center for cleaning and refurbishing.

DEARBORN, MI β Most portions of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Centerβincluding the gymnasiums, pools, fitness area and Senior Services Officeβwill be closed August 27-September 3 for the facility's annual maintenance week.
During these days, the equipment and facilities at The Center will undergo extensive cleaning, reconditioning and refurbishment, including refinishing the floors, cleaning carpeting, tile work in the pools and painting.
"These activities are necessary for the operation of our facility," said Greg Orner, director of Recreation & Parks. "We know they will cause some inconveniences and we apologize for them ahead of time."

The two pools and spa will close Friday, August 24, at 5 p.m. Consequently, passholders will be able to swim at Dearbornβs outdoor community poolβDunworthβduring the Maintenance Week shutdown by simply showing their passholder card.
Dunworth will be open weekdays from 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day from noon to 6 p.m.

During maintenance week, the service desk at The Center will be open August 27-30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Michael A. Guido Theater Box Office will be open August 28-30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will resume normal operations Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 5:30 a.m. For more information, call 943-2350.
