Man Arrested For Armed Carjacking In Dearborn
Police say the man arrested for a carjacking in Dearborn is wanted for other violent crimes in neighboring communities.

DEARBORN, MI β A 33-year-old Detroit man has been arrested for an armed carjacking in the city of Dearborn. Christopher Pinkard is accused of stealing a car from a man and his brother in the 13100 block of Warren Avenue Sept. 2. The victim said the man pointed a gun in their faces and sped off in the car.
Dearborn investigators believe they can connect Pinkard with other violent crimes in neighboring communities, according to the Dearborn Police Department. Pinkard has been charged with carjacking, armed robbery, unlawful driving away of a vehicle, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle and other charges, including weapons and habitual offender charges. Pinkardβs bond was set at $500,000 and he will return to the 19th District Court Sept. 14.
βBrazen acts of violent crime will not be tolerated in the city of Dearborn,β Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. βWe will continue to work tirelessly and utilize all assets available to us to ensure that offenders are identified and held accountable without delayβ.
