Suspected Detroit Area Bank Robber Arrested After Trying To Disguise Himself: Police

The man was arrested in connection with the robbery and charges are currently pending with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.​

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI — Officers arrested a suspected bank robber who was trying to disguise himself at a nearby Tim Hortons coffee shop in Dearborn Heights on Thursday, according to police.

The robbery happened at the Dearborn Federal Savings Bank located at 4111 S. Telegraph Road in Dearborn Heights, according to police.

Police said the man walked into the bank and pointed a handgun at a teller as he announced that he was robbing the bank.

Officers quickly responded to the bank and watched surveillance video to get a description of the suspect, according to police.

While searching the area, officers found the suspected bank robber inside a nearby Tim Hortons restaurant, according to police.

Police said he tried to disguise himself by putting on fake dreadlocks.

Officers recovered the money and arrested the man in connection with the robbery, according to police.

Charges are currently pending with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
