Popular Cafe Opening 11th Metro Detroit Location

A popular Florida-based cafe is opening a new downriver location Wednesday, according to a news release.

WOODHAVEN, MI — A popular Florida-based cafe is opening a new downriver location Wednesday, according to a news release.

First Watch, known for their avocado toast, lemon ricotta pancakes and tasty bacon during breakfast and lunch hours, is opening a new restaurant in Woodhaven.

The new Woodhaven location at 20500 West Rd. will be the 11th First Watch restaurant in the metro Detroit area. As part of their opening, customers will get a free cup of coffee with their meals through Friday.

The new restaurant will feature nearly 4,000-square-foot space with more than 170 seats. There is also outside dining under a covered patio.

"Over the last five years, we’ve opened a flurry of new restaurants across Detroit’s northern and western suburbs, so we thought it was about time to bring our fresh take on breakfast classics closer to our neighbors down south in Woodhaven," Vice President of Operations at First Watch Robert Glen said in a news release.

There are other First Watch locations in Ann Arbor, Canton, Livonia, Northville, Novi, Royal Oak, Shelby Township, Somerset (Troy), Sterling Heights and Troy. The restaurants are open 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. daily for dine-in, pickup or delivery.
