Teen Charged In Triple Stabbing At Dearborn Hotel: Police
Officials said the teen stabbed three family members, including his 11-year-old sister inside a Dearborn hotel.
DEARBORN, MI — A 19-year-old Detroit man is facing charges in connection with a triple stabbing that injured three family members at a Dearborn hotel Sunday, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
Hamzeh Salama was charged with three counts of assault with the intent to do great bodily harm, three counts of felonious assault and one count of domestic violence.
He was placed in jail with a bond set at $300,000. His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 22.

Police said Salama used a knife to stab his 51-year-old dad, his 42-year-old mom and his 11-year-old sister inside a hotel in the 200 block of Town Center Drive in Dearborn.
Officers found the victims each with multiple stab wounds in the hotel's lobby at 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning, according to police.

The victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police.
"This case is yet another example of intra family violence that permeates American society today," Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said in a statement. "It is almost always hard to fathom and accept, but it unfortunately, it happens and happens often. We must be vigilant, pay attention, and use every tool in our toolbox to heighten this issue and our response to it."
