Thank You Dearborn: Patch Reached 20,000 People Last Month

Dearborn Patch launched eight years ago this December. We've come a long way, and you're a big reason why.

In August, Dearborn Patch recorded nearly 20,000 visitors. That figure — compiled and verified through Google Analytics — includes readers on desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and our app, and our visitors often access Patch on several devices over the month.

Patch is so popular because it involves the whole community. We can’t do it without you and your news tips, ideas and contributions to our digital community.

I'm Jessica Strachan, your local editor. I’m a Detroit-based writer, University of Michigan-Dearborn alumni, globe trotter and dog mom to the sweetest rescue beagle named Virginia Woof (yes, a writer pun). I’ve grown up around metro Detroit and love our sprawling metropolis of different city centers. Dearborn is one of my favorite places to grab coffee, meet up with friends, stroll through one of its two downtowns or grab a delicious variety of foods.
