Thanksgiving In Dearborn: Trash Delays, City Hours

Here's how the holiday will impact Dearborn's city services this week.

DEARBORN, MI — All City of Dearborn buildings will be closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 22. The Dearborn Administrative Center, all Dearborn Public Library branches,19th District Court and the Senior Center will remain closed on Friday, Nov. 23.

The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will reopen on Friday, Nov. 23, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Dearborn Ice Skating Center (DISC) will host the 15th Annual Thanksgiving Hockey Tournament on Friday.

Trash, recycling and curbside yard waste pick-up will be delayed by one day for the Thursday and Friday trash districts.

Loose leaf collection will continue on Friday in the Friday trash district. Loose leaf collection in the Thursday trash district will resume on Thursday, Nov. 29 as normally scheduled.

Note that Public Service Days parking restrictions are not enforced during weeks in which a holiday delays trash collection.
