Man Killed, Trooper Injured In Detroit Shootout: Police
The injured trooper was taken to a nearby hospital and expected to be ok, police said.
DETROIT — A trooper was injured and a man was killed in a shooting early Monday morning in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
The shooting happened at 4:40 a.m. in the 20200 block of Murray Hill, which is near the Lodge Freeway and 8 Mile Road in Detroit, police said.
Michigan State Police said troopers with their auto theft team were working undercover in the area when a 23-year-old man came out of a house and fired three shots at the troopers.

A trooper was shot in the leg and back while other officers fired back, killing the Detroit man, police said.
