Man Robbed Of Necklace, Shot Outisde Detroit Nightclub: Police

Two metro Detroit men were arrested and charged in connection with the shooting, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

DETROIT — A man was shot and injured during a robbery outside a Detroit nightclub early Monday morning, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

The shooting happened at 12:30 a.m. Monday in front of a nightclub in the 1500 block of Woodward Avenue, where officers found a 27-year-old Detroit man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he is expected to survive, according to police.

Alveon Roosevelt Kindle, 21, of Clinton Township, was charged with armed robbery, assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm and three counts of felony firearm.

Paul Monyee Kindle, 23, of Southfield, was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and two counts of felony firearm.

They were both placed in jail. Their next court date is scheduled for May 14.

Police said Alveon and Paul robbed the 27-year-old of his necklace. When the man tried to get his necklace back, police said Alveon fired a gun multiple times, wounding the man.

Officers in the area heard the gunshots and responded to the scene where Alveon and Paul had fled after the shooting.

Alveon and Paul were later arrested by the Southfield Police Department and turned over to Detroit Police.
