12 MI Pizzerias Are Among The Best In The Midwest: Ranking
A Detroit area pizzeria topped the list.
MICHIGAN — The best pizza in the Midwest is right here in the Detroit area, according to Yelp.
Yelp released their "ultimate" guide to the best 100 pizza spots in the Midwest on Wednesday, and included 12 Michigan spots, including the top overall spot.
Here are the four Michigan spots that made the list:

No. 1 Loui’s Pizza, Hazel Park
No. 14 Pie Sci, Detroit

No. 43 The Filling Station Microbrewery, Traverse City
No. 52 Tawas Bay Pizza Co, Tawas City
No. 57 Patellie’s, Three Oaks
No. 62 Quarantino’s, Grand Rapids
No. 68 Silver Beach Pizza, St. Joseph
No. 69 Buddy’s Pizza, Detroit
No. 74 Grandma Bob’s, Detroit
No. 78 112 Pizzeria Bistro, Rochester Hills, Michigan
No. 79 Antoniou’s Towne Square Pizza, Rochester Hills
To determine their rankings, Yelp looked at pizzerias with a large concentration of reviews mentioning relevant keywords, and then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning those keywords.
They also worked with their community managers to determine which spots had the best reviews.
Pizzerias in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin also made the list.
