60 MPH Winds, Large Hail Possible Across Detroit Area Wednesday
All of southeastern Michigan is under a marginal risk (level 1/5) for severe weather Wednesday.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Severe thunderstorms are expected to hit southeastern Michigan on Wednesday amid very warm and humid temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms will move through the area between 2 and 9 p.m. Wednesday when highs hit the upper 80s, the weather service said.
Forecasters warned the storms could produce heavy downpours, large hail and winds up to 60 miles per hour.

The weather service has placed all of southeastern Michigan under a marginal risk (level 1/5) for severe weather Wednesday.
The weather service said more storms are possible again Thursday, especially in areas south of Interstate 69. Forecasters do not expect any of those storms to be severe.

More rain is possible Friday before a dry weekend with temperatures in 70s and less humidity, the weather service said.
