Authorities Make Large-Scale, Multi-County Drug Bust
Several pounds of cocaine, opioids, and other narcotics were seized. Authorities say it ended a heavy flow of illegal items in Wayne County.

MICHIGAN — Authorities executed a large-scale drug bust this month, seizing more than three pounds of cocaine, nearly a pound of opioids, several weapons and nearly $73,000. Three arrests were also made.
Michigan State Police said it was June 19 when the Downriver Area Narcotics Organization (DRANO) officers executed four search warrants in the cities of Southfield, Taylor, and Detroit, arresting a 43-year-old man from Taylor, a 43-year-old man from Southfield and a 43-year-old from Detroit.
Police say the bust ended a several month long investigation involving the flow of heroin and other illegal narcotics into the downriver communities of Wayne County.

The seized items included 3.3 pounds of cocaine, ¾ pound of heroin/fentanyl, 2 AR-15 rifles, 3 pistols, and $72,655 in cash.
DRANO is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force comprised of officers from the Michigan State Police, Taylor Police Department, Melvindale Police Department, Southgate Police Department, Allen Park Police Department and the Ecorse Police Department.
